Your Ceremony

Your ceremony is held in a spectacular amphitheatre, with a dramatic waterfall backdrop on one side and a picturesque river only metres below on the other. With a few luxurious touches like the fresh flower aisle and crystal chandelier, ceremonies at Saratoga beautifully balance the incomparable beauty of nature with elegant styling.

Your Reception

The reception pavilion has been designed to invite the jungle in, giving your reception an open-air outdoor feel while being suitable for all weather. The glass ceiling with reticulating water creates soft dancing patterns on the old-world tile floors. Old salon mirrors and carved painted columns create an atmosphere of La Belle Epoque, as if a slice of Paris had been transplanted in the jungle. The perfect location for a mesmerising feast delivered with relaxed high style.

Your Wedding Day Itinerary

Here's a sample itinerary of a classic wedding day at Saratoga. This will give an idea about how the day could evolve.

Transport to the venue

Your journey begins with a luxury limo pick up for you and your bridal party from your accommodation to the venue on the morning of your wedding day.

On Arrival

Your wedding planner will be here to greet you and super attentive staff will do everything to make you feel at home. All of the Saratoga crew, including wait and bar staff, come from the local village and are very proud of the venue, which many have had a hand in renovating. (Keep an eye out for the statues in the reception area, these were carved from rocks collected from the river which runs through the property.)

The Pampering

You will be escorted to the Bridal Villa which will be your base during your stay. Apart from the most romantic king size bed with wrap around views of nature at its most luxuriant, it comes equipped with an old fashioned bath tub, walk in robe, massage room, luxury bathroom and private all weather terrace where you can enjoy some reflective moments before your guests arrive.

Our expert hair and makeup team perform their magic in a purpose-built styling room fitted out like a professional salon. Then, you will enjoy a gourmet lunch on the bridal terrace accompanied by chilled French champagne.

Guests and Groomsmen

Your guests will be delivered in air conditioned shuttles to Saratoga’s imposing gate, where they will be greeted by the tinkling sounds of a traditional bamboo orchestra and a chorus of fountains playing in the vast pond and Tirta Empul-inspired swimming pool.  

The groomsmen will already be on site, enjoying a cold beer on the poolside terrace, the perfect place to unwind in the lead up to the ceremony. 

The Welcome

Your guests will make their way along a windy bridge past the world’s largest pot of orchids into the wantilan (pronounced wonty-lahn), a vast open pavilion with soaring ceilings and sweeping views of the jungle and river below. Here they will be explained the order of the day over a refreshing mocktail.

Many people describe their first impression of Saratoga as "like nowhere else in Bali", and on your wedding day the experience is intensified with atmospheric music and incense filling the space and later, the twinkle of fairy lights dotting the dramatic jungle foliage.  Having taken in the magic of this unique location, your guests are escorted down to the ceremony area. With a gentle waterfall on one side, the flowing river on the other and greenery all around, the feeling is one of total immersion in absolute peace and serenity.

The Flowers

Our master team of florists will arrive after lunch to deliver your bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonniere. At this time, the ceremony area will be freshly adorned with tropical blooms, the rose petals laid down on your aisle and the flower petal confetti prepared.

The Ceremony

You and your bridal party make your way to the ceremony area where your family and friends await you.  Seating is provided for up to 60 guests. For larger numbers we suggest seating for 20 with the rest of the group gathered around to keep the marriage ritual as intimate as possible.

After the ceremony, everyone enjoys a sparkling wine toast and group photos before moving onto the terrace on the other side of the river where cocktails and canapes are served. With daybed, dry bars and cafe tables and chairs, this is a great space for everyone to kick back and relax while you and your bridal party are taken on a photo tour of the property. Our attentive staff keep your group well watered and fed with a private party overlooking the river. 

The Reception

You make your grand entrance across Saratoga's iconic bridge lit by bamboo flares up to the reception area, an exotic space under glass. Tables are set with crisp linen, fine glassware, crockery and cutlery. Your experienced chef and his team serve a gourmet feast, featuring the highest standard of cuisine; nothing but the best for your family of friends. 

Our very attentive Functions Manager ensures that nothing you have planned for is overlooked. After dinner, the speeches and cake cutting take place, with every moment captured by our awesome photo crew. This is also the time for any other special ritual you may wish such as bouquet and garter toss.

Fittingly, your bridal waltz takes place back in the beautiful Wantilan, a space that harks back to the era of gramophones but now served by the best quality sound system. Botanica's DJ is a natural at getting everyone on their feet.

The farewell

We close the celebrations with a sparkler send off. Family and friends bid you and hubby farewell as you make your way to the bridal villa for a night where you now get to enjoy some sacred time on your own. While you’re relaxing, we transfer all your guests safely back to their accommodation in Canggu.

The Morning After

Enjoy the first day of married life reflecting on the amazing day that's been while we serve you a gourmet breakfast on the bridal terrace. There's even time for a dip in the fabulous fountain pool before our very attentive Venue Manager bids you a personal farewell and your luxury sedan whisks you back to your accommodation to regroup with family and friends.
