Your Ceremony

On one of Bali’s most exclusive sections of white sand sits the Ayodya, a Balinese water palace surrounded by acres of lagoon pools and landscaped gardens. You’ll be married on the beachfront under the watchful care of King Rama and Queen Shinta, Hindu legends that the resort was modelled after.

Your antique wooden ceremony pavilion was hand carved last century, and is magnificently decked with fronds of flowers and plush white drapes. Traditional white umbrellas provide extra shade for guests to witness your commitment as the waves break upon the beach behind you.

Your Reception

Your reception is held in a lush coconut grove fringed with palms and beautifully lit with fairy lights and lanterns hanging in the trees. Your guests will be waiting with glee for your grand entrance and Balinese Kecak dancers will form a traditional tunnel which you’ll emerge through together to be greeted by the sound of applause and a chilled glass of bubbly.

Your Wedding Day Itinerary

Here's a sample itinerary of a classic wedding day at The Ayodya. This will give you an idea about how the day could evolve. 

On Arrival

Many couples choose to arrive in Nusa Dua several days before the ceremony and turn the event into a wedding week where they can soak up the sun, enjoy the resort’s five-star luxury and indulge in an array of pre-wedding activities. The day of your wedding you’ll be greeted by your wedding planner at The Ayodya Palace, where your honeymoon suite is located. It’s a private ‘resort within a resort’ where you have your own pool, direct beach access and an around-the-clock butler service

The Pampering

If you’re staying on site prior to the wedding, you’ll have access to Ayodya’s Mandara Spa, a wellness haven offering luxurious rejuvenation and energy boosting therapies. On the day you’ll be making the final preparations in your own private villa. Our expert team of hair and makeup artists will arrive mid morning to begin pampering the bride and tending to the groom. You’ll have your hair and makeup perfected as you snack on tropical fruit and snap pics with your wedding party. Around lunchtime, you’ll eat some tasty food and your wedding planner will run through the itinerary to make sure you feel calm and happy.

The Flowers

Our master team of florists will arrive at The Ayodya after lunch to deliver your bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonniere. By this time, our Botanica Weddings function team will have set everything up in the ceremony and reception areas, so the florists can simply walk through and provide the finishing touches with tropical blooms at your altar, your tables and anywhere else you’d like them! You’ll also have rose petals laid down on your aisle, and petal confetti for your guests to scatter in celebration after you say I do.

The Guests

We know many of your guests will have travelled from overseas to the wedding so we’ve organised special rates with the resort allowing them to stay on site and settle in before the big day. Over the 29 acre resort, they’ll have a plethora of restaurants to dine in, pools to lounge beside, and direct access to the beaches of Nusa Dua. Just before your ceremony, they’ll gather in one of the estate’s quaint landscaped gardens to enjoy a chilled welcome drink as they wait for you to arrive.

The Ceremony

You will stand before a celebrant as the sun begins to set over the sparkling blue harbour and your guests watch from rows of white wooden chairs in the landscaped gardens. The breeze will ruffle the white drapes above you, while the fragrant scent of tropical flowers wafts through the air and you look into each other’s eyes with joy. Your ceremony will finish with applause from your loved ones and a traditional Balinese performance on the beach. Fire dancers, drummers and chanting musicians will seal your commitment at dusk.

The Photography

The Ayodya is a venue rich with beautiful photo opportunities. Our incredible photographers will be there to capture you before, during and after the ceremony on the white sand, or in the ancient Hindu temple structures of the resort. There are landscaped gardens, blooming frangipani trees and of course the lush coconut grove. You’ll go home with incredible images and wedding party shots that are sure to dominate your friend’s Instagram feeds.

The Reception

From Balinese Kecak dancers to a DJ spinning a set of your choice, the atmosphere of the reception is completely up to you. To start the party you’ll dine with your guests at sumptuously decorated tables and be treated to a gorgeous menu with free flowing drinks to loosen the mood. Your guests will make heartfelt speeches and applaud as you head to the floor for the first dance.

Remember, the Coconut Grove is completely your own so if you’re feeling adventurous you can take advantage of the infinity pool while lanterns, fairy lights and sparklers light up the night sky. Don’t hesitate to party late into the evening. There’ll be enough cake, wine and joy to fuel a night of shenanigans you’ll never forget.

The Food

The Ayodya has a team of highly experienced chefs who’ll prepare a wedding menu that’ll blow your socks off. You can keep it casual with a delicious international or Indonesian buffet style feast. Or, you can stay at your tables and have our waiters serve you a three-course, gourmet meal. Drinks flow freely at the Ayodya with a range of local wines, beers, juices and soft drinks on offer, and there’s a bar for anyone who wants to upgrade to stronger drinks. Naturally, we’ve tried and tested the best patisserie chefs in Bali to make sure your cake not only looks incredible but tastes amazing.

The Farewell

When you’re ready to find a quiet place for yourselves you’ll be farewelled with a display of fireworks that light up the night sky. Then our staff will show you to your private honeymoon suite where you’ll have the services of an in-call butler to bring you anything you need. Alternatively, you can just lock the doors and enjoy complete peace with each until you’re served a luxurious breakfast in bed the next morning.
