Award Winning Planning
Your wedding at The Royal Pita Maha will be expertly planned in the lead up and on the big day by our award-winning wedding planners. We're here to make sure you're relaxed and ready to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience - some of our couples even say having a destination wedding was easier than if they'd organised it at home, thanks our superstar wedding planners.
Your Ceremony
This utterly enchanting spot combines exquisite luxury with ancient culture and breathtakingly beautiful jungle gardens. You’ll spend the day being pampered in a gorgeous villa, then watch from above as your guests arrive to take their seats.
Your altar sits beside the water in a soaring pavilion draped with chiffon and adorned with lush tropical flowers. It feels like a grand open air chapel with the sacred Ayung River flowing on one side and acres of lush tropical vegetation on the other.
You’ll sense the gravity and feel your emotions surge as you walk jewelled slippers down a rose petal-strewn aisle to stand together before your loved ones. Imagine the soft tinkle of Balinese chimes accompanying applause and tears of joy as you commit to being each other’s one and only.
Your Reception
As dusk falls you’ll make a grand entrance through the massive, intricately carved stone gates of the Royal Temple Courtyard. Here you’ll celebrate with your loved ones under the frangipani trees amidst the Royal Pita Maha’s lush gardens. The trees above are adorned with fairy lights and glowing cream silk lanterns. But the sense of magic is completed by 100 palm-frond candles and flaming bamboo torches which create an unforgettable jungle vibe.
The dinner tables are sumptuously laid with white linen and elegant glassware, then styled with all of the finishing touches you could want. Together you’ll indulge in world-class cuisine and free-flowing drinks before the real party begins. An elevated, open-air dance pavilion can be lit softly, or decked out with coloured spots and mirror balls. Our DJ and lighting crew work closely with your wedding planner to ensure the atmosphere is perfect. We’ve been known to encourage even the shyest guests to the dance floor so they can party the night away.

Your Wedding Day Itinerary
Here's a sample itinerary of a classic wedding day at the Royal Pita Maha. This will give an idea about how the day could evolve.
The Pampering
Your wedding planner will meet you bright and early at the venue to greet the bridal party. The girls will spend the day getting pampered in a five-star luxury villa with an infinity pool looking out over the jungle terraces. The guys have the option of arriving later in the afternoon or using the stately Honeymoon Villa as their man cave and centre of operations for the day.
Our professional hair and makeup team will be on site waiting and ready to go. As with everything in Bali, the fees are reasonable and it’s easy to book hair and makeup for just yourself or splurge and adorn your entire wedding party. We make sure you have healthy food on hand and are offered lashings of champagne or fresh juice as time begins to speed up and the excitement builds!
The Flowers
Our master team of florists will arrive after lunch to deliver your bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonniere. At this time, the ceremony area will be freshly adorned with tropical blooms, the rose petals laid down on your aisle and the flower petal confetti prepared.
The Guests
By mid-afternoon you’ll nearly be ready and your guests will be on the way. Your loved ones are given a breathtaking welcome as they arrive in their own cars or mini buses through the grand arches of the Royal Pita Maha. Our Botanica Weddings staff escort them to a spectacular viewing terrace where a refreshing welcome drink awaits. As you finish preparing, they’ll take in the glorious panorama of the Ayung River Valley where the air is cool and the towering walls of jungle are peppered with palms.
The Ceremony
This is what we call ‘go time’. Your wedding planner will radio the ground staff to usher the groom and his groomsmen from their villa down towards the sacred river ceremony pavilion or stunning Kadasa Villa awaits. The guys will greet your guests and take a moment to calm themselves before the bride arrives.
Simultaneously, the bride and her bridesmaids will discreetly make their way down from the pool villa and the big moment will have finally arrived. Your planner will tell you to take a deep breath and enjoy every moment as your best girls set the stage for a crowd stopping entrance that your husband will never forget.
The Photography
The Royal Pita Maha is literally a dream location for photography so you’ll be Instagram ready from the moment you cross the threshold! There are five stunning settings for your post ceremony photo tour and hundreds of backdrops throughout the day to capture you getting ready, sharing time with loved ones and building up to the biggest party ever!

Following your ceremony you’ll be graced with a touch of culture as a spectacular troupe of traditional Balinese dancers, torch bearers and musicians lead everyone through to the reception.
