Karen and Jess went for a contemporary and simple approach to the styling of their day. Choosing a very pale colour scheme for the clothing, flowers and decor really helped to offset the strong natural colours of the rainforest setting.
We chose Ubud because we wanted our wedding to be a laid back holiday celebration with our family and closest friends.
We stayed in Bali for two weeks. We spent a few days before the wedding, meeting friends who had flown in from overseas, seeing the venues and sampling the food and drinks for our various wedding related events. On the day before the wedding, we had a cocktails and canapes event at Bisma 8 to formally welcome all our guests to Bali. On the day after the wedding, we had a farewell barbeque, also at Bisma 8. Following the wedding, we stayed at the Melia in Nusa Dua for a few days.
We had approx. 60 guests and it was a sit down, buffet meal. We chose a buffet to offer our guests a larger selection of food and choice of serving size.
My wife and I used the wedding dance to reflect on the amazing day we had had. Our favourite memory of the day is our dance, when we first remembered all the magical moments we had that day.
