A boho beach wedding in Bali was the inspiration behind Anna and Kerin’s wedding. Anna and Kerin come from opposite sides of the world so what better than bringing their friends and family together on the magical island of Bali. Anna and Kerin met one rainy afternoon in Townsville while splashing about at the rock pools. Anna was instantly intrigued by Kerin’s childhood stories of growing up in Africa. And while Anna grew up and lived most of her life in Victoria, she had always had a keen interest in other cultures. Anna taught, studied and lived in Indonesia for many years of her life, which is why Bali made it straight to the top of their list for wedding destinations!
Knowing that Kerin’s family would be travelling from Africa and Anna’s from Victoria the couple thought – why not bring everyone together on the magical island of the Gods? Anna and Kerin liked the idea of a small beach wedding, and after discovering Taman Baghawan they knew it was perfect.
Anna had always dreamt of a boho beach wedding and the combination of sand, ocean and the beautiful Bali flora at Taman Baghawan, their vision came to life. It was also important to the couple that the Indonesian culture was present throughout their wedding day. Anna and Kerin had beautiful Balinese flower girls apart of their ceremony and guests enjoyed local Indonesian cuisines for their reception dinner.
The couple honeymooned in Africa, visiting Kerin’s hometown in Zimbabwe followed by a safari in Tanzania.
Congratulations Anna and Kerin!
